Integrated Building Management System (iBMS)

Today, an integrated Building Management System (iBMS) is the need of the hour considering the inefficiencies and security deficiencies in various quarters or our cities and important buildings. Power leakages or over current causing fire, leakage in water supplies or water not reaching homes adequately, security etc. are some of the major challenges posed by urbanized cities. In addition, interdependencies, integration and interoperability between various Building Infrastructure components is limited and tough to manage resulting in lack of integrated building networks and IT equipments.

Athenta offers the flexibility to integrate 'Legacy Infrastructure' with 'New Infrastructure', giving enterprises the freedom to choose 'Best of Breed ' infrastructure without worrying about or budgeting for common integration pitfalls. Athenta manages critical infrastructures while creating a standard operating environment. The building or the infrastructure is managed from the network layer to the various services rendered to the infrastructure through and Enterprise Service Bus (ESB)

The prime duties of this ESB would be

  • To monitor and control information exchange across different services
  • To cater to commodity services like event handling, data transformation and mapping. Messages and event queuing. Protocol conversion without compromising on the security and enforcing quality of communication service.
  • To control deployment and versioning of services
  • To marshal use of redundant services on the network

Athenta manages the following equipments as part of one infrastructure:

  • Power management from the HT to the LT panel to each of the serviced equipment. Circuit breakers, transformers included
  • Diesel Generators
  • Fuel Management
  • UPS Systems
  • Water Distribution
  • HVAC/Chillers
  • Temperature and Humidity sensors
  • CCTV System
  • Physical security
  • Quality of Power
  • Access Control into the buildingss
  • Fire Management

Benefits

  • Centralized system that integrates all the disparate systems in the building
  • Report Management to enable clear understanding of the operational expenses and health of the systems deployed for comfort, safety and security of the tenants
  • Ease of Operations and Sub-Vendor SLA Management
  • System with High Availability
  • System that can understand inter-relationships between systems or dependency matrix
  • The systems are scalable to accommodate deployment modifications and additions in future as per the building needs.
  • Minimum maintenance of the BMS itself
